My name is Harry and up until 2010, I was a true skeptic when it came to 2012 and all its world ending prophecies. Now I can smell wishy washy maniacs from a mile away, preaching the end of the world as if it was tomorrow wasn’t something new, and it sure as hell wasn’t something I’d care to think about. But I had to find out why my dear friend was so convinced, how did this 2012 Official Countdown guide got to him the way it did.
And so I did, I got a copy, and within minutes begin to divulge into each and every part of the guide. Call me crazy, but the more I begin to read about it, the more I see how each part of a prophecy is connected to several prophecies, I begin to see the logic behind Dave’s fear. The same logical fear that now courses through me as well. It wasn’t something I could push aside, whatever it is that was about to happen, it will happen in 2012.

Earlier I said that I was part right and part wrong about 2012. Now I’m about to tell you where I was right and sadly, wrong as well. I was right that there was a big promotion and marketing campaign that hyped up the year 2012 as part of some large Hollywood movie. I was wrong to believe that only the mayans had it in them to predict such a large catastrophe. You see the whole guide basically tells you that the mayans were just “one” of the groups of people that believe in the coming catastrophe that will inevitably happen in 2012. Sure one might dismiss that maybe they’re all a bunch of cuckoos, but listen to logic for a second and surely you will be astounded just as I am. These “bunch of people” as I have surely referred to are not together. As a matter of fact, they’re all from different continents, some even in different time periods all together. Yet they all come to the startling conclusion that in 2012, calamity will befall upon us all.
There’s a fine line between coincidences, and the author has taken the liberty to uncovering each and every one of these groups, the people and their predictions in detail. From facts, to drawings to ancient recorded prophecies, they all draw a conclusion on the same year, and some startling enough, on the same date.
The question isn’t what you can believe, it is what you can’t afford to believe. 2012 Official Countdown guide is not a book that shouts that the world is over because … and so list down the reasons. It is shouting that ancient prophecies, people and religion have foretold this, and he combines them with well written thoughts scattered with supportive facts, even with the support of several scientific minds that lend credibility to the theories that a multitude of events is very much possible come 2012.
